Breed history
The breed arose from a spontaneous mutation in domestic shorthair cats in 2010. The founders ran genetic checks and achieved recognition in cat associations.

Key features are partially sparse hair on the face and legs, large eyes, a wedge-shaped head, fairly large ears and a short tail. Size: medium size. Weight: males: 3–4 kg, females: 2–3 kg. Coat: short-haired, partially sparse coat. Typical colours: roan, black or black smoke.
Temperament
Despite the look, the Lykoi is affectionate, friendly and active. It loves people, games and exploring the home, and is cautious but adaptable with strangers.
Care and lifestyle
